Bowhill Pit Disaster

Ten miners lost their lives following an explosion in Bowhill No. 1 Pit, near Cardenden, on Saturday 31 October 1931.

The following is the memorial to the men who lost their lives, it is situated in Bowhill Cemetery, Cardenden, many of the men have gravestones in the cemetery, but for respect of the families I have not included these here.
