Kirkcaldy Stamp and Postcard Club

Our sister site is Kirkcaldy Stamp and Postcard Club which celebrated its 80th Anniversary in 2016.
(I write both sites).

The club has decided to trial 2 evening meetings this season to allow potential new members
who work or cannot get to meetings during the day to come along and talk to its members.
Displays of stamps and postcards will be on show, members would like to meet you.
The first of these will take place on Thursday 1st November from 7pm until 9pm.

Meetings are held at Torbain Parish Church, Lindores Drive, Kirkcaldy, KY2 6PQ.
Plenty free parking. Visitors are Welcome.

Kirkcaldy Stamp and Postcard Club
80th Anniversary
1936 until 2016.

The above club was founded in 1936 so 2016 was our 80th birthday, we have been delving through old newspapers for the origins of the club. We apparently have had several names since our start, Exchange Club, Philatelic Society, when I joined the society in 1984 it was Kirkcaldy and District Philatelic Society, which was eventually changed to Kirkcaldy Stamp and Postcard Club to make it more pleasing to the eye and not so stuffy and of putting to ordinary collectors, hopefully adding postcard collectors to our small friendly club.
I would like you the readers to assist us in finding out more about our club, or any stamp club that you remember in Kirkcaldy, even school stamp clubs, any photos we could copy, did your parent or grandparent belong to the society, any info however slight will be most welcome, please email Tom at tbsm@tbsm.co.uk
Many thanks
