Kettlebridge in postcards

Kettlebridge is a village in the area called the Howe of Fife, it is situated between Glenrothes and Cupar. Old records show it was previously called Holekettle, the village grew larger and busier with the opening of a turnpike Road and it developed after the building and opening of the railway to Cupar in 1847. Kettlebridge and nearby Kingskettle were places where the linen, coal, lime and stone were worked.
